Palm oil physical refinery for palm-based consumer company

JJ-Lurgi Engineering in Malaysia provided a palm oil physical refinery plant for a leading integrated palm-based consumer company in Indonesia earlier this year.

The plant located in Kalimantan with the production capacity of 1,000 TPD (tons per day) was engineered with unique processes to enhance the quality of the output such as heating and cooling the oil at high temperatures under a vacuumed condition.

In addition, the deodorising section was designed to generate a very low-pressure drop in the system creating a better vacuum in the deodoriser to enhance the taste and stability of the output.

JJ-Lurgi Engineering is also providing extraction plants for soya and rapeseed for this company in China.- By Chio Mok Kiong, Malaysia
