JJ-Lurgi Engineering in Malaysia participated in the Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB) International Palm Oil Congress (PIPOC) 2009 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Nov 9 – 11, 2009.

The biennial event was officiated by Honourable Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Malaysia, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok.

The congress themed ‘Balancing Ecologies with Economics’ provided a strategic platform for interaction and in-depth deliberation of the many facets of oil palm and the palm oil industry from innovations, challenges and the latest developments.
The exhibition was not only a platform for JJ-Lurgi Engineering to showcase technologies on renewable resources such as oleochemicals, biodiesels and edible oil but also to discuss technological breakthroughs whilst sharing and exchanging of new ideas relating to developments in the industry and future challenges. Mr. Heinzpeter Greven from Lurgi GmbH in Germany also presented a paper titled “Fixed Bed Hardening Technology” at the exhibition. - By Ang Puek Fang, Malaysia
